SOA's GET INVOLED

 We are two artists who collaborate to form a coalition whose tools consist of soul, fabric, ink, graphic design, heart, raw talent, experience and thread.

 Michael and Michelle have moved around a lot in their lives. Michael was born in Callifornia, but did most of his growing up in Miami and puerto rico. Michelle was born in new jersey and has lived in New york and Philadelphia as well.

 Michael Roman graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York, where he studied illustration and printmaking of all forms. While there he worked in Parsons printmaking shop, doing screen printing, wood cut, and relief printmaking.

 Michelle Mercier went to school at the Art Institute of Philadelphia for Fashion Design and graduated with Honors in 2004. She is experienced in pattern making, as well as sewing. She worked for a company in Olde City Philadelphia called LELE for one year as a seamstress and dressmaker. She also was a dresser for several fashion shows including Frank Augustino, Roberto Cavalli, and Donald Trump.

 The two met in philadelphia at The Independent Craft market last October. They entered a Pabst Blue Ribbon Craft Off challange and won 1st Place in february. Ever since then it has been non-stop creation.
